How To Draw Sonic!

Sonic the Hedgehog, one of everyone's favorite cartoon characters around even now! This speedy, super cool, blue guy has captured the hearts of many... and how do you express that love for Sonic? Fan art of course!

Drawing fan art is one of the hardest and most critiqued forms of art out there. To truly do this right you have to draw the character with the same flare the artist gave it without being a completely copy-cat. Knowing how to draw Sonic is cool, and takes a lot of work. Don't be upset if you don't get it right the first time, or the time after that, or the time after that and after that and so on... it takes artists years to become good.

Knowing how to draw Sonic can come in handy not only for awesome fan-art, custom drawings for friends and family but especially in hand if you are doing fan art comic. AKA Taking someone else character on adventures you have written and drawn. Just remember to state that the character does not belong to you and that it is a fan comic.

Ok, now it's time! Lets learn how to draw Sonic!

Everyone wants to get it over with ad get it done... however, there isn't some super special way to over night learn in your sleep!

While there is no over night trick to learn how to draw flowers that doesn't mean it has to be hard let alone life consuming. The key is to know what you are working on... this way you don't spend your precious time and energy working in the wrong areas.

If you want a quick, easy and free way to learn more on how to draw flowers then study it! I know this sounds like a lot of work, but it's really not. Just by looking at, and drawing flowers from reference you can improve your drawing skills greatly. The reason this works? If your hand isn't used to the movements of drawing something or your mind doesn't know where to start or what to tell your hand to do it doesn't work. By studying and using reference you are training your mind, by practicing you are training you hand.

How To Draw Cartoons: Cartoon Anatomy

Learning how to draw cartoon is something that interests a lot of us. We all want to be able to draw those goof characters that go on different adventures, entertains us and make us laugh with their silly cartoon like actions. However a lot of beginning cartoonists ask the same question, a lot of them want to know if: "Do cartoon characters use the basics of human anatomy?" The answer to this question is, yes. However, not completely.

A cartoon character is an over exaggerated version of something or someone. Cartoon characters, cats, cars, trees... you get the point.

Cartoon characters do follow human anatomy to make them look human, but they don't completely. Large head and eyes, big nose, spiky hair, big feet, slouched body, are just some common differences. As you watch people draw cartoons and study them for your self you will not only see the human anatomy being put into use but also be able to see where cartoon artists exaggerate and where you can and should too. The basics is, cartooning.. has it's own anatomy based off of the anatomy of a human... so if you know human anatomy your one step closer to learning how to draw cartoons.
